All entrance and lobby doors shall be WIKK balanced units, complete with associated security devices, push and pull hardware,
and glass and glazing. Structural members outside the perimeter of the WIKK assemblies are to be furnished under separate contracts.
SCOPE: All entrance and vestibule doors shall be COMPLETE "Balance Door'- units. Includes: doors, jambs, frames, threshold
operation mechanism, and all finish hardware.
MATERIAL: Aluminum, 1/8 min. thickness in alloy and temper as required for the finish (see finishes section). Anodized or painted. STAINLESS STEEL
formed of .06'- stainless steel 18-8 Type 302. BRONZE, CDA 280 alloy muntz metal
(alt.CDA 220 commercial bronze) minimum .06" thickness in specified finish. (.090 frames) HOLLOW METAL: minimum 16 gauge prime quality cold rolled and electro galvanized.
DOORS: EXTRUDED ALUMINUM DOORS - bolted and welded construction for maximum strength. GLASS MOLDING - "Snap-on" type interior and exterior. EXTERIOR DOORS - continuous pile type
weather-strip, vertically at meeting stiles on pairs and concealed top and bottom rails. DOOR THICKNESS - 2". TOP RAIL - 3". STILES - 3". BOTTOM RAILS -_" Minimum wall thickness, 3/16" . NOTE: Other sizes available.
FORMED STAINLESS, BRONZE OR HOLLOW METAL DOORS - Seams between stiles and rails welded and finished to an invisible joint.
Exterior doors to have continuous weather-strip, vertically at meeting stiles on pairs, top and bottom all doors. DOOR
THICKNESS - _". TOP RAIL - _". STILES - _". BOTTOM RAILS-_".
TEMPERED GLASS DOORS - 4-1/2" top and bottom rails securely factory assembled to
1/2" or 3/4' tempered glass. Bronze & stainless steel clad rails shall have welded end caps. Glass to be furnished by WIKK Industries, inc.
WOOD DOORS: Balanced hardware anchorage re-inforcements for wood doors (doors by others) are available.
FRAMES: All door jambs have full height pile type stops at both lock and hinge stiles. Frame shall be constructed and installed without the use of exposed screws where appropriate. Portion of jamb shall be removable for
access to operating hardware.
THRESHOLDS: Thresholds furnished for all doors unless otherwise detailed.
EXTRUDED ALUMINUM for aluminum and stainless steel entrances. EXTRUDED BRONZE for bronze entrance. Stainless steel and cast thresholds also available. Thresholds 6" wide minimum, set on the finished floor and adequately calked against water seepage. Fastenings shall be 15" maximum spacing.
BALANCED HARDWARE: Manufactured by WIKK Industries, Inc. EXPOSED TO VIEW HARDWARE - bronze and
stainless steel finished per specification. All components of extra heavy duty design and adjustable for site conditions, door leaf size and weight.
GUIDE BOX: One Piece Casting of Bronze Finished to Match Door.
Means shall be provided which make possible the adjustment for proper perimeter clearance of each door leaf in relation to its finished framework. All pivot points equipped with
self-aligning bearings. All doors shall have a semi-automatic hold-open device located in the bottom rail. Doors shall be complete with specified locking devices and weather-stripping. Master keyed cylinders, if required, to be
furnished by others. All hardware shall be finished to match doors.

INSTALLATION: All material shall be installed by factory-trained installers. All doors shall be adjusted
after glazing contractor completes his work and readjusted when necessary prior to owner's acceptance of the building.
GUARANTEE: All material furnished and installed to these specifications shall be guaranteed against defective material and workmanship for a period of
Ten Years After Completion of Installation. The hydraulic cheek is
warrantied for 10 years by LCN. All automatic equipment is warrantied for 2 years by WIKK Industries, Inc. |
